So I finally updated my website. A recent bot attack on an outdated Zencart forced my hand on a decision I had been pondering for months. My old cart was built on a dated CMS which lacked responsive and retina ready capabilities, I needed to upgrade.
After building many many WordPress sites, I decided my next shopping cart would utilize this platform. After some digging I found the Woocommerce plug-in, which by all counts seemed robust enough for my needs. Especially with all the support and Extensions they offered. -I know not quite what I was used to, Zen Cart has many add-one and many of them are free, but like I said, my site was attached; I had to move quick.
So know I’m quite happy with the results. I added the Bookings Extension, which I’ll badminton is NOT perfect right out of the box. But after combing some blogs and WooThemes support threads I got it how I want it.
Now I’m playing with the iOS WordPress app. This seems pretty sweet. I’ll be able to add posts to my site on the fly, plus synch via Hootsuite with social media, – this setup seems super charged and ready to go.
I’ll keep all posted as my experience grows.
